Louis was winner of the Geneva Competition and gained the First Prize for Young Concert Artists international auditions in New York, where he has performed at Carnegie Hall.

Both Louis Schwizgebel and Lionel Cottet, are excellent illustrations of the cultural connections between Geneva and New York. Both are natives of Geneva, award winners of SGAF and former students of Geneva’s University of Music and they are currently perfecting their art at the Julliard School in New York.

François Sochard, violin

French violinist François Sochard, who received First Prize for violin and chamber music from the Conservatoire in Paris, holds several international prizes with awards from numerous foundations; he has been living in Switzerland for several years, where he pursues a highly successful career.

Lionel Cottet, violoncelle

Lionel is a cellist of renown who received the Swiss Ambassador’s Award in 2011.
